Richard Bennett is the founder and working Director of Northridge Building Surveyors Limited. A Chartered Surveyor with over 22 years of extensive building surveying experience. Richard began his career at a small national construction consultancy in 2002. He then transitioned to a larger multi-disciplinary national consultancy in 2007, acting as the technical lead for the surveying department before establishing Northridge.
Throughout his career, Richard has developed a broad expertise in delivering a full spectrum of building surveying services. His proficiency encompasses dilapidations, party wall surveying, general building surveys, neighbourly matters, project management, contract administration, residential design, clerk of works/quality monitoring, licenses for alterations, expert witness reporting, and facilities management.
Richard has led numerous high-profile projects. His work included heading up technical surveying services for a successful national property development company over a 16-year period including delivery of dilapidations, project management, contract administration, and facilities management services. He has also provided dilapidations services to a number of other companies, including FTSE 100 firms, and over several years acted as Party Wall Surveyor for one of the largest supermarket chains in the UK, along with numerous other national developers and domestic clients.
In addition, Richard has designed numerous residential schemes and designed, project managed and administered contracts for numerous high value commercial refurbishment projects and residential construction projects. His expertise and experience of surveying in construction also extends to quality monitoring and clerk of works roles for new build warehouses, retail parks, offices, residential blocks, and health centres.
